The School – Primary Teacher / SENCO

Servoca education is currently recruiting for a pupil referral unit in Lambeth that caters for children aged 5-11. This school provides quality education for children that display challenging behaviour and is looking for a qualified teacher that is also able to undertake SENCO responsibilities.

The Candidate – Primary Teacher / SENCO

* Qualified Teacher Status
* Previous experience of working as a SENCO would be desirable
* Knowledgeable of the UK curriculum
* Aware of the procedure with regards to safeguarding in a school environment
* Have experience of identifying, evaluating and providing effective strategies for pupils with SEN
* Reliable & punctual
* Ability to risk assess
* Ability to develop rapport with SEN individuals

About the Role - Primary Teacher / SENCO

* Lead a class team of teaching assistants within the class
* Teaching children that are likely to display challenging behaviour
* Oversee the day-today operation of the schools SEN policy
* Be responsible for managing a team of learning support assistants
* Communicating with parents of children with SEN
* Leading interventions for small groups of SEN pupils
