Part-time Science Teacher, Secondary – Shoreditch

My client, an OFSTED rated ‘Outstanding’ school in Shoreditch, is looking for a science teacher to fill a role from January 2018 or ASAP. If you’re an experienced science teacher looking for the next challenge, this role could be for you.

* Science Teacher
* Part-Time
* Long term to permanent role
* ASAP start
* £125-170 per day
* KS3/4

The Role

As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a relevant curriculum as appropriate. Contributing to standards of pupil attainment, you’ll support the school’s responsibility to provide opportunities for personal and academic growth; this could involve after-school tutoring, mentoring and other extra-curricular activities.

The role is for a part-time, temporary science teacher who will teach KS3 and 4. The rate of pay will be based on experience. In addition to this, you’ll be rewarded with a generous benefits package.

The current teacher has resigned due to family commitments, so the right Science Teacher will start ASAP or in January. Interviews will be taking place as soon as next week for the strongest candidates.

The School

The school has around 900 students who behave really well, driven by a common approach which stresses kindness towards others and striving for collective success.

As such, you’ll be working in a highly supportive environment which champions academic success, creating an engaging learning environment where creativity is encouraged. The school promotes equality and mutual respect in everything that it does; as such, you can expect a respectful teaching environment where you’ll be able to get on with the task at hand.

The Ideal Candidate

As the ideal candidate for the role, you’ll be an experienced Science Teacher with a proven track record of increasing levels of student attainment and a passion for the sciences. You’ll be charismatic and be able to consistently delivery quality lessons, inspiring your pupils to take an active interest in the subject. You’ll be looking to start a new role ASAP or in January 2018 and be able to clear our internal candidate vetting process and have UK Certified QTS.

If you’re a science teacher looking for a change of scenery or an exceptional NQT who would like to start their teaching career with a bang, please send your CV to mike.wooller@servocaeducation.com and someone will be in touch if your CV demonstrates the required skills and qualifications for the role.
