This exciting Secondary History Teacher position available for a long term maternity cover role starting in September 2021 is the perfect opportunity to join a desirable, Ofsted graded ‘Good’, secondary school in the Braintree area.
Are you a passionate historian? As an engaging History teacher are you able to demonstrate to learners how the events of the past can help shape the future? This History Teacher position will teach a variable timetable of both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 class groups.
You will be required to plan and deliver lessons that engage and challenge students of all abilities. This Ofsted 'Good' school caters for nearly 1000 students and through the delivery of top class teaching & learning and impeccable student behaviour they aim to deliver excellent exam results.
In addition to students achieving academically the school also provides a wide range of extra curricular experiences to ensure learners are given the opportunity to develop into well rounded young people. Teachers of all experience levels will be considered for the role, including NQTs

To be considered for the History Teacher role you should have:
Recognised teaching qualification PGCE or equivalent (QTS).
The ability to quickly build positive relationships with both staff and students.
Strong subject knowledge of the History curriculum including the new GCSE.

Current DBS registered with the DBS Update Service
