I'm working with a 'Good' Primary school who are currently looking to appoint a passionate and enthusiastic SEN teaching assistant.
The position will be working predominately with children 4-11 year old pupils who have verity of Special Education Needs. Your role will be supporting with behaviour management and to engage and interact with the children to enable them to be able to access to curriculum fully. Some of their pupils have additional physical disabilities, medical, care and sensory needs and behavioural difficulties.
The role will entail working 1:1 with SEN pupils in a Mainstream setting to ensure they reach learning targets. The pupils are on the spectrum and have sensory requirements.
The school are looking for someone who is confident, organised, who can use their own initiative to pick up from the hand over and take responsibility.

The ideal candidate:
• Have PECS and Makaton training / experience but not essential
• Experience working with challenging behaviour or have Team Teach training (positive restraint training)
• You will need to be confident, organised and be able to lead a team
• Flexible, adaptive and versatile individual
