An outstanding primary school in Croydon, are searching for a graduate teaching assistant who’s looking to embark on their teaching career and join their supportive team from September 2020. This is a two-year contract working on a full time basis from 8:30am – 4pm Monday to Friday.
By the end of the 2 years training you will be a qualified teacher and achieved your QTS. During your two year course you will take on more independent classroom responsibilities, gradually teaching full timetable to a class of approximately 20- 30 children. This exciting teacher training opportunity is available across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.

This school has been graded ‘Outstanding’ by Ofstead, the staff is extremely supportive as well as a well stablishes leadership team. The school is offering this fantastic opportunity to a teaching assistant who is able to provide an amazing classroom experience, able to develop their skills and understanding of what it takes to be an understanding teacher whilst earning an income. The successful teaching assistant will have two mentors who will ensure they are fully equipped to not only achieve QTS but excel in their teaching.
The successful trainee teacher will be:
* A graduate – Degree graded 1:1 or above
* Able to work full time
* An aspiring teacher
* Achieved minimum of a C in GCSE Maths, English and Science
To be considered for this teaching assistant role you will be educated to a degree level graded 2:2 or above have a minimum of a C in Maths, English and science GCSE. This primary school is looking for the trainee teacher to be someone who I enthusiastic, passionate and dedicated to the classroom.
Extensive previous experience working with children is not essential but a minimum of 3 months would be desirable. Graduate with no experience will also be considered for this opportunity as the two-year course will provide you ample opportunity to develop our experience, curriculum knowledge and confidence before gaining your QTS.
