Teaching Assistant / Primary School Teacher Training Opportunity

A fantastic opportunity for an aspiring teacher has arisen at a wonderful primary school in Pimlico in Westminster. The opportunity is to build your classroom experience as a teaching assistant for one year before successfully completing your primary school teacher training in September 2020. The primary school would like the successful teaching assistant to begin ASAP and will require someone who can commit for a minimum of one year.

This is an ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted rated school who are known for their fantastic teacher training programme. The school is popular with the local community and has an established senior leadership team. If you are an aspiring primary teacher, this teaching assistant position could be perfect for you. Your role will include working with children in EYFS, KS1 or KS2 as a general teaching assistant – the age group will be dependent on your preference.

The primary school are looking for a teaching assistant that is graduated to a degree level, either undergraduate or masters level ideally. Additionally the primary school are looking for someone with some experience working with children previously – this may include previous work as a teaching assistant, tutoring, youth work or special needs experience.

This is a full-time position with the exciting opportunity for a teaching assistant to develop into a fully qualified QTS primary teacher. The successful candidate will have a strong educational background and a true passion to work with young children. The primary school are looking for teaching assistants and graduates who can inspire and instil a love of learning into their pupils.
