LSA/SEN Teaching Assistants Needed

Pay level: Scale 3, Point 14-17 (£16,156 - £16,905 PA)

Servoca Education are working with an “Outstanding” primary school in Camden who are currently recruiting for two experienced SEN/LSA Teaching Assistants. Minimum requirements would be GCSE Grade C for both Maths and English, and evidence of previously working with children in a similar age range. Ideally the candidate would have received a 2:2 or above from university, and received up to date First Aid and Safeguarding training.
The first role involves working with two year 5 students. One has an EHCP (ADHD, SEMH) who is possibly leaving the school soon, and the other is a new pupil who has SEMH and is behind with his learning. The LSA will split their time between the two pupils, with the hours being between 8.00-3.30.
The second role also includes working with 2 year 5 students the two children have ADHD and ASD (Global delay). Initially, the hours would be 8.00-3.30 , but if the candidate is successful- would be offered a long-term position with the hours of 8.00-3.15.
Both roles include supporting the students with their learning, but also challenging them, helping to build confidence and independence.

These are challenging roles- candidates should be patient, calm, assertive and have experience with de-escalation.

*An honours degree (preferably Upper Second) or equivalent
