Do you have experience working with SEN Pupils, and are looking for a challenging but rewarding new role?

Are you interested in working at an Outstanding school with excellent staff and support to ensure you settle in?

Servoca Education are working with an “Outstanding” primary school in Camden who are currently recruiting for two experienced SEN/LSA Teaching Assistants. Minimum requirements would be GCSE Grade C for both Maths and English, and evidence of previously working with children in a similar age range. Ideally the candidate would have received a 2:2 or above from university, and received up to date First Aid and Safeguarding training.

The first role involves working with two year 5 students. One has an EHCP (ADHD, SEMH) who is possibly leaving the school soon, and the other is a new pupil who has SEMH and is behind with his learning. The LSA will split their time between the two pupils, with the hours being between 8.00-3.30.

The second role also includes working with 2 year 5 students the two children have ADHD and ASD (Global delay). Initially, the hours would be 8.00-3.30 , but if the candidate is successful- would be offered a long-term position with the hours of 8.00-3.15.

Both roles include supporting the students with their learning, but also challenging them, helping to build confidence and independence.

The school sets high expectations for the pupils, parents and staff- they pride themselves on being proactive and having fantastic communication with everyone involved, having a broad curriculum that nurtures the children’s natural talents and great CPD opportunities for the staff.

These are challenging roles- candidates should be patient, calm, assertive and have experience with de-escalation.

Being located near Kings Cross/St Pancras station, there are excellent transport links to get to the school.
