Servoca education is currently recruiting for an SEN secondary school which provides a safe learning environment for pupils living with Social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) issues. The school is looking for a motivated and dedicated Special Needs learning support assistant to provide a high standard of support for its students.

The Candidate – Special Needs Learning Support Assistant - SEMH - Woking

* Candidates will have a good standard of education and will have experience of working with children
* Recent graduates looking for work experience prior to teacher training are encouraged as the school has an established schools direct program
* Some understanding of learning difficulties and how to manage these
* A can do attitude and a willingness to help in other areas of the classroom
* The ability to use initiative and work well under pressure
* The ability to communicate effectively with the children and other staff members

The Role - Special Needs Learning Support Assistant - SEMH - Woking

* The role will involve working with pupils that are living with social emotional and mental health (SEMH) issues
* Children are likely to show challenging and confrontational behaviour
* Assessing and accommodating individual learning needs of students
* Reporting on individual pupils progress
* encouraging the social and emotional development of pupils
