A Primary school in Central London are searching for an ambitious and dedicated teaching assistant to join them from January 2019. This position is ideal for those committed to refining their skills, building relationships and developing their knowledge of the education system. The teaching assistant will need to be proactive and be able to utilise their initiative in the classroom. Confidence to support the children through their learning experiences is at the heart of this role.
Previous experience working with children is desirable for this role, whether it be youth work, in a similar school setting or abroad. The key characteristics for the teaching assistant are to be enthusiastic about your participation in the school coupled with a dedicated attitude.
The teaching assistant must be educated to degree level, preferably with a 2:1 or above.
Position: Teaching Assistant
Start Date: full-time from January 2019
Contract: 1 year
Location: Westminster, Central London

Pay Scale: £65 - £80 per day
The Primary school is two-form entry and has a warm, welcoming feel to it. You will be assisting within Key Stage 1 with room to move to Key Stage 2 in future. The focus of your role will be numeracy and literacy. You will be leading small group interventions and providing one to one support.
