Job Information

* ASD Teaching Assistant in North London
* Supporting KS3 to KS5 students
* 8:30-4:00/4:30 working schedule
* £60-£90 per day
* Co-Teach students in the classroom (Classroom support teacher)

ASD Teaching Assistants (TAs) will support teachers in a Mainstream Secondary School and will experience working with children who may face difficulties or educational challenges in the classroom. The ideal ASD Teaching Assistant will need to build rapport with children in the classroom in order to support them in the school. This allows familiarity within the school for the children as they student/s can become unsettled with sudden changes of staff members.

Requirements for the role

* Experience working with children that have ADHD and Autism as well as experience working with challenging behaviour
* Experience working with SEN children (ideal but the above is necessary)

The right candidate for this role in Enfield may have the opportunity to progress and further their skills as a Teacher Assistant to become an ASD Teacher through a Schools Direct Programme. Therefore, the schools encourage rapport to be created between students, staff and the SLT team.
