A ‘Good’ rated and mixed Secondary School in the borough of Brent is looking to recruit a KS3-KS4 Humanities Teacher from January 2019. This teaching appointment is a full time/long term position.

About the school

This secondary school in Brent has achieved an Ofsted rating of ‘Good’ and is looking to continue building on their success by recruiting a Good to Outstanding Humanities Teacher / Teacher of Humanities.

The Humanities department is a consistently growing one, especially due to the construction of a new secondary school with the current years being Year 9 and Year 10. The quality of the leadership is seen as being excellent, the school’s work to promote pupils’ personal development, behaviour and welfare is strong and student’s behaviour is seen as excellent. About the role

The school is currently looking for a good to outstanding Humanities Teacher / Teacher of Humanities who challenges and motivates students to achieve their maximum potential across both KS3 and KS4. This Humanities Teacher / Teacher of Humanities is expected to be innovative and you must be able to achieve excellent results for children.

* Must be able to teach KS3 and KS4 Humanities with potential for KS5
* Must have an ability to employ a range of effective teaching and learning styles.
* Must have relevant degree and has obtained QTS
* Able to demonstrate a 'Good' to 'Outstanding' lesson
* Available from January 2019
