‘Good’ to ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted rated mainstream Secondary schools are looking for SEN Teaching assistants or graduates in the London Boroughs of Sutton, Lewisham, Bexley, Greenwich, Croydon, Bromley & Southwark. The vacancies require exceptional and skilled SEN Teaching Assistants to work with KS3- KS5 children ASAP on a long term and full time basis.

If so, Servoca Education is currently recruiting a number of SEN Teaching Assistants to work in South London.

Teaching Assistant Role

The positions are for Key Stage 3 to 5 SEN Teaching Assistants to work in long term position on a full time basis in South London. The potential to specialise in a subject according to your degree is an opportunity that some of the schools employ.

The day to day schedule is from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and involves working closely with ASD pupils who experience difficulties in the classroom and help to motivate and engage them in the curriculum. In addition, as an SEN Teacher will support the teacher with day to day classroom schedules and general duties will also be required.

An ideal SEN Teacher will have experience working with children who have ADHD and Autism, as well as experience addressing challenging behaviour in a classroom environment.

Furthermore, there is an opportunity for the right SEN Teacher to progress in a position with continuous learning and professional development to become a teacher through ‘Schools Direct’. Moreover, the schools implement an environment for open communication between the school staff and the Senior Leadership Teams (SLTs).
