The school teaches teach through the Key Stages up to a A-Levels. Their teaching is a minimum of a Good lesson with some Outstanding practices. All NQTs or Experienced MPS or UPS teachers appointed at school must be able to demonstrate a minimum of a ‘good’ lesson. New and exciting long term post at this successful Croydon school for either an NQT or Experienced part time Art Teacher/ Teacher of Art (MPS or UPS). You will be able to teach a strong and engaging lesson, focused on T&L and Assessment for Learning. You will be an excellent practitioner who has a strong Art teaching background in a secondary mainstream school with excellent knowledge and experience on the UK curriculum . It is essential that the successful Art Teacher/ Teacher of Art has a mainstream, teaching qualification (PGCE/ GTP/ Teach First/ SCITT/ QTS/ QTLS). Additionally it is important that the successful teacher is able to build a strong rapport with pupils, able to enthuse and engage them. Well run and managed Art department with a successful Head of Art.
The successful Art Teacher/ Teacher of Art will have the following:
* Must be either a Secondary or Post 16 Trained Art Teacher (PGCE/ GTP/ Teach First/ SCITT/ QTS/ QTLS)
* Must be able to teach a minimum of KS3 & KS4 ( up to A Levels are desirable)
* Good to Outstanding Art Teacher/ Teacher of Art
* Strong & Sound subject knowledge
* NQT or Experienced Art Teacher (MPS or UPS)
* Experience teaching in a mainstream secondary school & excellent knowledge of the UK curriculum as a Art Teacher
