A mainstream primary school based in the London borough of Brent has an opening for a general Teaching Assistant in mixed ability Year 1 class. This primary school is based in the London borough of Brent, Wembley. All the staff work closely with the local community and they strive to ensure that their pupils are achieving and learning both academically and socially.

The job will be a full time and will only be suitable to Teaching Assistant’s who has a passion of working with children. If you have aspirations of becoming a Key Stage 1 teacher this is the ideal kick start to your career. Also a sound knowledge of phonics is also preferable.

This Graduate Teaching Assistant position will be full time on a contract paid on a supply rate from £65-£85 per day depending on experience. You will be a graduate with a strong academic background, and your role will be working as a General Teaching Assistant in a mixed ability Key Stage 2 class.

The Headteacher requires a passionate Graduate Teaching Assistant who is friendly, caring and supportive when working with young children. You’ll need to be able to commit to a full time job for two terms as a minimum.

In this well achieving primary school, teaching assistants will partake in a range of activities helping children on a 1:1 and general basis, from overseeing the classroom exercises to setting in the classroom and arranging displays with the children. The school offer excellent training and support for Graduate Teaching Assistants.
