Good and Outstanding Secondary schools in Harrow are looking for strong and personable English, Science and Maths Graduate Teaching Assistants to join and offer Schools Direct training. This is a great alternative to the PGCE as it’s free of charge and the school will support you with the training to become a qualified teacher if you excel in the role from September until July
Your role in the classroom is to provide 1:1 and group support to those students in Year 7 to Year 13 in one subject area which you specialise and have a degree in and also provide small group intervention groups. The day would consist from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with the last hour being dedicated to assisting students with GCSE or A level exams.
You will be provided with keen support and direction from the teachers and Head of Department throughout the academic year.
As an English, Science and Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant, you must be a 2017 or 2018 graduate with a 2:1 or 1st class degree. The Head Teachers are keen to recruit a number of confident, articulate and personable Graduate Teaching Assistants who are available from September. You must enjoy working with secondary school students and be available for the entire academic year. You will be paid from £60 to £80 per day depending on experience.
