SEN Teaching Assistant in Primary School in Wandsworth
A vibrant, warm and welcoming Primary school in Wandsworth are currently searching for an SEN Teaching Assistant to join them as soon as possible. The position is a long-term contract until the end of the summer term, although there is an opportunity to achieve a permanent contract in the next academic year. This position is to work 1:1 with a child in Year 6 who has ASD.
This is a wonderful Primary school based in Streatham. Most recently the school was awarded ‘Good’ by OFSTED, highlighting the excellent Senior Leadership Team and all-round positive feeling of the school. The position requires someone with experience in a similar role that is strong in numeracy and literacy.
* SEN Teaching Assistant
* 1:1 role working with ASD

* £60-80 daily rate
* Experience as a TA/tutor required
The position requires someone with experience working with children with autism, particularly someone who is confident with their behaviour management abilities. The teaching assistant will be full-time implementing behaviour management strategies to help ensure that ASD children are on task and fulfilling the lesson objectives.
The teaching assistant employed will be required to begin immediately or as soon as possible. This is a full-time position. The daily pay rate for this SEN Teaching Assistant will be between £60 and £80 dependent on experience.
The ideal teaching assistant will either be a graduate or have a minimum of a Cache Level 3 in Childcare, Assisting Teaching and Learning or in a subject of relevant criteria.
The school is easily accessible by public transport for the teaching assistant appointed.
