My client schools are recruiting Graduate Teaching Assistants on a rolling-basis, to start in January 2018. As a teaching assistant, you'll offer classroom support to the teacher and support students who have difficulty understanding a topic. You'll be vigilant for safeguarding issues and report these to the class teacher in a timely and accurate fashion.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain some classroom experience before undertaking your PGCE. Many of the schools I work with also offer School Direct training for the strongest candidates.
To be suitable for this role, you'll need to be a recent graduate with a 2:1 or above in the following subject areas: maths, english, sciences, history, geography. You'll be an aspiring teacher looking to commence training in September 2018 and have a desire to work with young people. If you have no prior experience in a classroom environment, you'll be able to demonstrate transferrable skills through past work experience or extra-curricular activities while at university.
If you're interested in being put forward for Teaching Assistant work, please send your CV to firstname.lastname@example.org and I'll be in touch if you are suitable for the role.
