Biology Teacher, Part Time – Shoreditch – Jan 2018 Start

I’m recruiting a part-time Biology Teacher to take on a two term contract, with the possibility of a permanent role for the right teacher. Starting in January, you’ll be based in Shoreditch and a two minute walk from Old Street Station at an ‘Outstanding’ Secondary School.

* Biology Teacher
* Part-Time
* Long-term to permanent role
* Jan 2018 Start
* ‘Outstanding’ School
* Inner London Pay

The Role
As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a relevant curriculum as appropriate. Contributing to standards of pupil attainment, you’ll support the school’s responsibility to provide opportunities for personal and academic growth; this could involve after-school tutoring, mentoring and other extra-curricular activities.

The role is for a part-time Biology teacher who will teach up to KS4. The rate of pay will be based on experience and falls into the inner London pay scale.

The current teacher has resigned due to family commitments, so the right Science Teacher will start ASAP or in January. Interviews will be taking place as soon as next week for the strongest candidates.

You MUST have UK QTS and demonstrable experience of secondary science or biology teaching on your CV to be considered for this role.

The School
Coming into its 150th year, the school aims for each student to achieve outstanding educational outcomes. To do this, the school puts an emphasis on providing inspirational teaching, nurturing latent passions in students and providing support for those who have flair for any particular subject.

As an outstanding school, pupil behaviour is excellent and school facilities are second to none. As such, you’ll be working in a highly supportive environment which champions academic success, creating an engaging learning environment where creativity is encouraged. The school promotes equality and mutual respect in everything that it does; as such, you can expect a respectful teaching environment where you’ll be able to get on with the task at hand.

The Ideal Candidate
You’ll be a Biology Teacher who can consistently deliver ‘Outstanding’ lessons. You’ll have UK QTS and previous experience as a Biology or General Science Teacher. You’ll be looking to start a role in January 2018 or ASAP and be able to clear our internal candidate vetting process.

If you can demonstrate the above qualities and feel that this role could be for you, please send your CV to and someone will be in touch if you meet the minimum requirements for the role.
