Science Teacher, Secondary – Hackney

My client, an OFSTED rated ‘Good’ school in Hackney, is looking for a general science teacher to fill a role from January 2018. If you’re an NQT or experienced science teacher, this role could be for you.

* Science Teacher
* Permanent, Full-Time
* Jan 2018 / April 2018 start
* Hackney
* £28660 - £39006
* NQT or Experience teachers

The Role

As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a relevant curriculum as appropriate. Contributing to standards of pupil attainment, you’ll support the school’s responsibility to provide opportunities for personal and academic growth; this could involve after-school tutoring, mentoring and other extra-curricular activities.

The role is for a full-time, permanent science teacher who will teach all three disciplines (Biology, Chemistry and Physics) at KS3 & 4. The rate of pay will be based on experience and falls into the inner London pay scale (£28,660 - £39,006).

The School

The school was recently converted to academy status, and is committed to developing young people who can succeed in all walks of life as well-rounded and confident members of society. Each pupil is encouraged to strive for the highest level of individual success in their chosen path and is supported along their journey.

As a science teacher, you’ll benefit from a school which champions academic success, creating an engaging learning environment where creativity is encouraged. The school promotes equality and mutual respect in everything that it does; as such, you can expect a respectful teaching environment where you’ll be able to focus on teaching.

The Ideal Candidate

As the ideal candidate for the role, you’ll be an NQT or experienced Science Teacher with a proven track record of increasing levels of student attainment and a passion for the sciences. You’ll be charismatic and be able to consistently deliver ‘Good’ to ‘Outstanding’ lessons, inspiring your pupils to take an active interest in the subject. You’ll be looking to start a new role in Jan or April 2018 and be able to clear our internal candidate vetting process and have UK Certified QTS.

If you’re a science teacher looking for a change of scenery or an exceptional NQT who would like to start their teaching career with a bang, please send us your CV and someone will be in touch if your CV demonstrates the required skills and qualifications for the role.
