Music Teacher/Teacher of Music, Secondary – ‘Outstanding' School in Hackney

If you’re a passionate music teacher who can consistently deliver ‘Good’ to ‘Outstanding’ lessons, then this role might be what you’ve been looking for.

* Experienced or NQT music teacher
* Full-time, permanent role
* ‘Outstanding’ school in Hackney
* Excellent facilities
* KS3/4
* Lots of restaurants and bars nearby
* Close proximity to public transport

The Role

Tasked with teaching KS3 & 4 music at a leading secondary school in East London, you will report to the head of department. As an excellent music teacher/teacher of music, you will create a positive, stimulating and innovative environment for learning, while maintaining an organised classroom and managing pupil behaviour at all times. You’ll also need to plan and implement effective lessons which cover all areas on the National Curriculum.

The School

The school has recently undergone a refurbishment, meaning facilities are second to none. It has made more academic progress than any other school in the borough over the past few years and currently has an OFSTED rating of ‘Outstanding.’ The school also places a high value on a continued development in areas including values, behaviours and attitude in all of its pupils. So, if you’re a music teacher looking for somewhere you can really teach, this school will be ideal.

The Ideal Candidate

As the ideal candidate for this role, you’ll be a music teacher who puts passion behind everything you do. You’ll be an excellent communicator and thrive on seeing your students develop academically. You’ll be able to teach consistently ‘Good’ to ‘Outstanding’ lessons and have a track record of achieving above average results. While the school has expressed that they are willing to accept an NQT music teacher for this role, you’ll need to show that you have some kind of track record in teaching music to young people or children.

If you can fulfil the minimum criteria and feel that this role is right for you, please send across your CV and someone will be in touch if we think you fit the bill. If you’re a secondary teacher looking for roles in other subjects, we have vacancies across a variety of subjects in North and East London. If you’d like to find out more about these opportunities, please contact mike.wooller@servocaeduction.com.
