Primary School Inclusion Manager – Dagenham – January Start

An opening for a Primary Inclusion Manager has come up at a popular Primary School in Dagenham, East London.

Are you an experienced SENCO or Primary Inclusion Manager? Are you keen to take on a new role, leading the way and setting the example for SEN education within the school?

** One year contract position

** January 2018 start

** Maternity Cover – could lead to permanent role

** MPS/UPS/Leadership (dependant on experience)

This is an exciting position at a popular 4 form entry Primary School in Barking & Dagenham, East London. They have huge classrooms that cater for moderate class sizes. The SEN intake is high, hence the need for someone who can come in and take the lead within the SEN department. The school has a Designated Specialist Provision which the Inclusion Manager will be leading.

The role will be to support and promote an inclusive culture throughout the school, enabling all children to achieve their best. Your role is an important one, working directly with Senior Leadership of the school. The role includes overseeing the ethnic minority pupils, looked after children, EAL, G&T and other identifiable groups who need support.

To be successful in this role you will need to be a driven and knowledgeable leader who is keen to change and re-shape the education provided to those who need extra support. You will provide guidance and assist teachers in identifying children with learning, behavioural, medical or emotional difficulties and children with English as an additional language, or who are able, gifted and talented. Amongst other roles, Advise and assist class teachers and other members of staff in planning individual or group programmes for children who require extra provision.
