The Role – History Teacher/ Newly Qualified History Teacher
We are seeking a passionate History Teacher or Newly Qualified History Teacher with a positive ‘can do’ attitude, and who is committed to delivering nothing but outstanding lessons to students encouraging them to achieve their highest potential. As a History Teacher you will need to be flexible, passionate and resourceful with the ability to think on the spot. Successful candidates will be able to plan and deliver outstanding lessons meeting the requirements of the UK National Curriculum, have excellent behaviour management skills and be willing to contribute to extra-curricular activities. You will be working within a well-resourced supportive Humanities department, where lots of career progression in available.
You must have a natural talent for History and have the ability to help all types of students grasp and build the required subject knowledge to go on and achieve academic excellence. You must have a positive attitude in the classroom and be able to encourage your pupils to aim high and achieve these high expectations to ensure they achieve to their highest potential in the upcoming examinations.
The successful candidate will be optimistic and ambitious for young people and will be excited about joining a vibrant, successful, improving secondary school. The role is open to experienced History Teachers as well as Newly Qualified History Teachers.
