Richmond Primary School – Graduates Needed for Teaching Assistant Position

Are you a recent graduate searching for a teaching assistant role where you can develop your classroom experience?

Would you like to gain invaluable experience in the classroom before undertaking your PGCE?

Are you enthusiastic and passionate about supporting young people’s learning?

A friendly, welcoming Primary school in Kingston are searching for two teaching assistants to join them from September 2017. Each graduate will be offered a 1 year contract. The Primary school is in South-West London and is easily accessible by public transport.

The Primary school are looking for:

* A recent Graduate for a Teaching Assistant position
* Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant – supportinga child with SEN 1:1

Successful teaching assistant applications will be educated to a degree level, desirably achieving a 2:1 or above. Experience working with young people with SEN or in another setting is also desirable for these positions. If you are a graduate interested in education, please do apply. This is a fantastic opportunity!

Ideally the SEN Teaching Assistant will have experience working with some SEN whether it be voluntary or paid work. A graduate may also be considered to conduct their teacher training at the school the following September (2018). For a graduate fresh out of university this is an outstanding opportunity to kick start your career.

The Primary school are offering an excellent platform for a graduate to become a teaching assistant to gain invaluable experience in the classroom. This will be highly beneficial for any graduate in the beginning of your teaching career.

The SEN Teaching Assistant role will require someone who is confident in their behaviour management skills and that can handle challenging behaviour in an appropriate manner. A graduate with no experience will be considered providing they are confident and dedicated. A successful teaching assistant will be pro-active and reliable and will commit to the full academic year.
