About the Teaching Assistant role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will be assisting teachers in and out of class across KS1 and KS2 phase and you will be taking on small groups of pupils or providing 1:1 support. Your Teaching Assistant duties will include sharing your own ideas for fresh schemes of work and give teachers a hand preparing the classroom for these new lessons. Through 1:1 sessions and feedback on your practice, an accomplished SENCO will help you develop vital teaching skills that will stay with you for the rest of your career. This Teaching Assistant position involves proving your desire to teach with the hope of gaining a place on the School Direct programme operated at this school.
