I have been the cover manager at CPGS for nearly two years. When I took over I continued to use the regular agencies my predecessor had used. However these were based out of Portsmouth and as such their teachers were mostly out of area. As a result there were many occasions when the supply teachers were unable to get to school for an 8:30am start. We have used them to cover long term teacher absence and for Teaching Assistants too. For pre-booked cover, many Heads of Department request teachers who have been here before as they have been pleased with them.
